A Month Before My Stroke, My Body Started Warning Me. These Were the First Symptoms.

We rush everywhere: work, family, obligations… and often put our health on the back burner. But our body tries to warn us long before the situation worsens. Sometimes subtly. Sometimes more bluntly. Until the day comes when we can no longer ignore the signs.

First, What Is a Stroke?

A stroke occurs when blood supply to a part of the brain is interrupted. Brain cells that no longer receive oxygen die. The consequences can be severe: loss of speech, memory loss, paralysis, and more. The most common cause is thrombosis: a blood clot blocking a vessel. This can be caused by an unhealthy lifestyle, physical inactivity, certain hormone therapies, or simply the aging of blood vessels.
