2. Itchy nose—could indicate nasal cancer
We all rub our noses from time to time—allergy season, cold, dry air. But persistent, unexplained itching deep in the nasal passages could be something more serious.
Nasal or sinus cancer, while rare, can cause irritation in the nasal cavity. If the itching persists and isn’t relieved by allergy treatment or nasal sprays, and you experience nosebleeds or a change in smell, you should have it checked out.
Things to look for: Persistent itching in the nose, unexplained nasal congestion, bloody discharge, or facial pain.
3. Neck Itching – May be related to lymph node cancer (lymphoma)
The neck contains many lymph nodes, which are part of the body’s immune system. If this node becomes inflamed or affected by a disease such as lymphoma, itching may occur—sometimes without visible skin irritation.
Lymphoma-related itching is usually severe, persistent, and difficult to relieve. If you’ve ruled out allergies, skin products, and clothing irritations, and the itching persists, you should talk to your doctor.
Things to look for: Night sweats, unexplained weight loss, fatigue, or noticeable swelling in the neck or armpits.
