4 things many people do in the morning that increase their risk of stroke!

Everyone has probably heard a lot about strokes. These days, not only the elderly but also many young people are affected by strokes.

A stroke is very dangerous. If it is not recognized and treated quickly, it can seriously affect our lives. I read something in the newspaper and know that some things we do in the morning can easily trigger a stroke. Below, I share information about these habits.

We should avoid them and not do them, as they can easily lead to a stroke. According to Doctor Nguyen Xuan Quang (Military Medical Academy), he warned everyone to immediately stop some bad habits in the morning to prevent a stroke.

1. Jump up first thing in the morning

This is a habit that many people have. Health experts say that this habit is most likely to trigger a stroke in the morning.

Dr. Quang warns: Immediately break the habit of jumping up in the morning. During sleep, the parasympathetic nervous system is active, the heart beats slower, contracts more gently, and blood pressure is lower than when awake.

If you suddenly wake up, the sympathetic nervous system is strongly activated, causing the heart to beat faster and more vigorously, and blood pressure to rise. This increases the risk of small blood vessels in the brain bursting and causing a cerebral hemorrhage.

Dr. Quang also recommends lying down for 1–2 minutes after waking up. Massage your face, head, eyes, and neck with your hands to feel alert before getting up.

2. Drink a glass of diluted salt water immediately after waking up.

I’m sure many people have this habit because they believe it has a very good antiseptic effect, kills bacteria in the mouth, strengthens teeth, and strengthens gums.

However, this doesn’t mean it’s advisable to drink salt water first thing in the morning. It has long been warned that too much salt can lead to high blood pressure, strokes, and kidney damage.

Furthermore, our stomachs are empty when we wake up. Drinking saliva impairs the esophagus and stomach lining, which can ultimately lead to inflammation and stomach ulcers.

3. Exercise when it’s still too early

While exercise is healthy, don’t exercise at sunrise. Because temperatures are still low, early exercise can trigger colds. Cold weather can easily lead to vasoconstriction and, even more dangerously, trigger heart attacks, cardiovascular disease, cerebrovascular disease, and strokes. In people with poor health, early exercise also leads to severe sleep deprivation, which impairs bodily functions and increases the risk of injury.

4. Drink plenty of water immediately after waking up

It’s good to drink water in the morning, but it’s advisable not to drink too much at once, especially in winter.

Because drinking too much water in a short period of time increases the strain on the heart. People with existing cardiovascular problems may experience symptoms such as shortness of breath and heart palpitations, or even a stroke. Therefore, it’s best to drink only a small amount of water, about 200 to 300 ml, which is sufficient. Also, don’t wait until you feel thirsty to take small sips.

I read the above information in the newspaper and found it interesting. Therefore, I’m sharing it with everyone so they’re aware.

Because a stroke is so dangerous and has a major impact on our lives, everyone should be careful even with small daily habits, especially morning habits.
